May 15, 2007, Sydney - GlobalConnect Australia, a leading convergence and contact centre solutions provider and Avaya Gold BusinessPartner , today announced the appointments of Trish McBride and Joanne Feehan as two new account directors based in its Melbourne office.

Citing strong demand for its Avaya-based solutions and contact centre product portfolio among organisations in the Southern region, McBride and Feehan will together add more than 30 years of experience in sales and channel management to GlobalConnect's office in Victoria. The two new account directors will be responsible for driving business growth, managing the blue-chip installed client base and identifying new opportunities in the contact centre market.

Trish McBride joins GlobalConnect Australia with 21 years' experience in IT sales management. Most recently, she was a Sales Executive in voice and data solutions for VoIP, a wholly owned Australian company specialising in voice and data network convergence. During this time, she identified, qualified and proposed IP contact centre and administration telephony solutions into the Victorian government and corporate sector, and managed business development with the organisation's channel partners.

McBride previously worked at Rockwell FirstPoint Contact as Channel Account and Business Development Manager. She has also worked in senior sales and management positions with Memorex Telex and Lava Systems, and at Karora Technologies where she was Managing Director.

Joanne Feehan joins GlobalConnect Australia with 12 years of sales and account management experience in the IT industry, including seven years with Macquarie Telecom.

Most recently, at Macquarie Telecom, she was a Business Manager with responsibility for managing a select portfolio of enterprise customers and providing solutions for all applications of Voice and VoIP, Data Networks, Managed Hosting and Business Mobility.

Previously, Feehan was Distribution Channel Manager for RSL COM Australia where she developed and implemented business plans and strategies to maximise market share and develop dealer loyalty. In addition, she established exclusive distribution channels for RSL COM in Western Australia.
