SYDNEY, 22 February, 2011 – GlobalConnect Australia, a leading provider of unified communications and contact centre solutions and services, has announced the appointment of Rodel Fortunado as National Sales Manager.

Rodel's appointment comes at a time of sustained growth for the solutions integrator, now part of the US$15 billion Essar Group.

For the past 17 years Rodel has worked in strategic sales and channel roles in major multinational companies such as Fuji Xerox, SingTel Optus, Telstra and Avaya. He brings this experience combined with best-practice sales and customer service delivery methodologies to GlobalConnect to lead the sales effort nationally.

GlobalConnect Australia has also recently bolstered its business development team with the appointment of several representatives in Sydney and Melbourne.
