GlobalConnect has launched a new managed services offer to help our customers manage their communications infrastructures, reduce costs, add predictability around IT support expenditure whilst accessing expert knowledge and processes. Early adopters of GlobalConnect Managed Services are spread across the manufacturing, mining and healthcare industries.

GlobalConnect Managed Services gives our customers access to leading enterprise communications technologies and proactive management expertise without requiring high initial capital expenditures (CapEx) or ongoing investments in technology upgrades. Funded by GlobalConnect, the new managed services offer is an indication of GlobalConnect’s healthy financial position despite a challenging year in the industry coloured by the global financial crisis.

What is GlobalConnect Managed Services? It is a flexible, modular offer designed to fit the unique communications requirements of a customer providing benefits such as a single-point-of contact for real-time monitoring, proactive compliance healthchecks and the outsourced management of finances, capacity and assets.

The new GlobalConnect Managed Services offer is aligned with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards, a collection of best practices for IT service management, to provide both the customer and service provider with a common language and set of processes and procedures that are well defined and based on industry best practice.
