The first few months of 2010 have proven there is renewed optimism in the market as the industry starts to regain confidence post the Global Financial Crisis.

How has GlobalConnect fared through the GFC? We are proud to say our balance sheet is healthy; we are working with significant new customers in Australia to manage their communications environments; we are expanding our local team and have created and funded a new GlobalConnect Managed Services Offer. Overall we are financially stable and growing – a great position to be in after what was undoubtedly a tough year.

What else is new? As one of Avaya’s largest and most committed channel partners in Australia, we continued to support Avaya’s successful bid for Nortel Enterprise Solutions. The news has already shaken up the enterprise communications market with the acquisition set to increase Avaya’s market reach and ultimately strengthen its portfolio, products and services.

GlobalConnect has ramped up its Nortel certification levels and is market-ready to support companies looking for a committed partner able to address their ongoing communications needs. We are currently offering a Complementary Consultancy Workshop at no charge to enterprises looking to protect and grow their existing Avaya/Nortel communications infrastructure.
